Take The Leap: 30 Days of Yoga!

 

Hey guys, do you do yoga? I don’t. Not really anyway. I’ve never really liked it since my very first at home workout dvd was Denise Austin’s Fat Blasting Yoga. That sucked and was hard and she was so smiley and I was just so turned off from yoga for a long, long, time. Only in the back of my mind I always thought it would be fun doing the cool, super bendy, stretch out all your muscles yoga. I just never did. I’ve never been to a class at a gym or a real yoga studio. I have found new dvds that I enjoy but nothing I do regularly.

But now here’s a new challenge that I think is just what I need to help get me into it! Make sure you’re following me on Instagram (@girl_meets_fitness) which is where I’ll post my photos. When I think about yoga, the first thought that comes to mind is ‘I have to put my leg where??’. Yoga intimidates me and makes me feel totally not bendy.

 That’s why I am SO ready to participate in prAna’s Take The Leap 30 days of Yoga Challenge with Sweat Pink. I plan to downward dog my way to a more flexible and healthy 2015!

 For me, the biggest challenge when it comes to yoga is starting! Taking the Leap with prAna and Sweat Pink is a great way for me to finally get into something I’ve always wanted to be good at.

 My favorite place to yoga is at home because it is the only place I’ve ever attempted it, haha.

  • Denise Austin is pretty perky. My early days of fitness included a lot of videos (way before DVDs 🙂 ), and I always found her somewhat annoying.

  • This will be a great challenge and so cool to follow along with a group of awesome bloggers. For me yoga is hard because my flexibility is terrible from all the running so I am hoping to improve that. “See you” in the challenge!

  • I really enjoy exercise challenges with so many days allotted to them because I feel like it makes me more attainable for most people. And you never know when you’ll stumble into a new favorite regular exercise to add to your routine because you’ve discovered it through a new challenge! I’m currently doing a 14 day ab challenge with a friend of mine through a website, youtube channel, and facebook group

  • I’m love yoga challenges, though I haven’t completed one yet, lol! I’m a day behind but I might try to jump on board :). Good luck with yours either way!
